Ready to start your salsa journey? This beginner-friendly class covers all the essentials: basic steps, rhythm, timing, and beginner partnerwork. Honour will guide you with patience, energy, and all the good vibes. No experience or partner required — just show up and let’s dance!
Special Instructions:
- Wear comfortable clothes and dance shoes (or clean sneakers).
- No partner required, we rotate!
- Please arrive 5–10 minutes early so we can start on time

Ready to build on the basics? This class is designed for dancers who know their fundamentals and are looking to level up their partnerwork, turns, and connection. Janine and Kathy will help you feel confident dancing socially with anyone – and with style!
Special Instructions:
- Completion of Salsa Intro or basic knowledge required.
- Bring water, dance shoes, and a good attitude.
- Please avoid lotions or perfumes on your hands before class.
- We rotate partners — it’s all part of the learning.

Let’s spice things up. This class is for intermediate dancers ready to master more dynamic combos, shines, and musicality. Trevor and Emilio will challenge your technique, partnerwork precision, and flow — all while keeping the energy high and fun.
Special Instructions:
- Strong Level 1 foundation required.
- Ladies: heels recommended. Gents: clean shoes with grip.
- Expect a mix of drills and social dance practice.
- Be open to feedback — we’re here to grow!

Salsa Ladies Styling 1 & 2
This class is your monthly dose of power and expression! Led by the fabulous Linda Saenz, you’ll dive into body movement, arm styling, and posture – all while connecting deeply with the music. Perfect for ladies who want to add flair and confidence to their partner dancing.
Special Instructions:
- This class is offered once a month — don’t miss it!
- Heels are highly recommended
- Bring water, your favorite earrings, and your attitude.
- Open to all Level 1 & 2 ladies — no partner needed

Arrival & Preparation
- Arrive 10-15 minutes early to check in and warm up
- Wear comfortable clothing that allows free movement.
- Dance shoes or smooth-soled sneakers are recommended. Avoid rubber soles that stick to the floor.
Partner Work & Rotation
- No partner required – rotations help improve adaptability and connection
- Respect your partners and maintain a comfortable dance frame
- Leads should initiate movements smoothly, and follows should stay responsive without anticipating
Technique & Execution
- Keep steps small and controlled to stay connected to the music
- Engage your core and posture for better balance and fluidity.
- Focus on body isolations – chest, hips, and head movements are key to Sensual Bachata
Social Dance Etiquette
- Maintain good hygiene – wear deodorant, bring breath mints, and wear fresh clothes
- Be patient and encouraging with fellow students.
- Avoid giving unsolicited feedback – let the instructors provide guidance
Practice & Progression
- Practice outside of class to reinforce what you’ve learned
- Watch video recaps when provided and attend socials to apply your skills
- Sensual Bachata is about connection, not just moves – focus on the feeling, not just memorizing steps
